vCustomer Launches Retail CRM Solution

After carving a niche for itself among Indian enterprises in the business process-outsourcing segment, vCustomer has come out with its new retail solution in the CRM space. The company has introduced the Integrated Retail Solution and plans to get around 40-50 customers in the retail segment within a year. vCustomer is following the SaaS model for this solution and the platform is built on Web2.0.

Informing about entering into this product space, Sanjay Kumar, CEO, vCustomer Corporation said, “After working closely with the customers in India, we have gathered knowledge of their requirements. They are struggling while streamlining their technology. We had developed an email management platform four years ago and now we have come up with this CRM solution to help our customers build their IT infrastructure.” The integrated retail solution package includes order management, feedback management, appointment scheduling, campaign management and loyalty management.

The company has already acquired eight customers (one American and seven Indian) in the food and beverage, retail and telecom sectors for this retail solution. vCustomer is offering the solution on a licensing basis. The company is also eyeing hospitality and other verticals to push this product further.

Opined Kumar, “We are in discussions with our existing customers, as well as with the prospective customers who are looking to upgrade their existing infrastructure. The implementation process of the solution is very short. The solution can be customised for the customer within six weeks of getting their requirements. " There are11 consultants working on this solution.

Informing about the future plans of the company, Kumar said, “There are a lot of opportunities in the Indian market. We will first cater to the Indian customers and then will take this solution to other countries such as the UK and the US. We are planning to acquire 8-12 customers per quarter.” At present the company is approaching customers directly but it is also planning to appoint a national level value added reseller who has experience in the similar segment. vCustomer has divided its target retail segment into two broad categories including, store fronts and ecommerce portals, for better reach.
