Terracotta Expands Global Reach With Indian Subsidiary

Terracotta, a provider of infrastructure software for enterprise Java high availability and scalability, has opened an Indian subsidiary with a new office near Delhi. Located in Noida, the office will provide pre- and post-sales technical support worldwide, and will add additional software engineering resources to complement the company’s US operations.

“India is a strategic location for Terracotta’s long-term success for many reasons,” said Amit Pandey, CEO of Terracotta. “It provides us with better access to the growing Asian market—a large highly-educated pool of software developers with domain expertise in open source development—and enables us to deliver 24-hour support to our growing base of global customers. This expertise, along with a state-of-the-art facility in India, will complement all of our company-wide activities and initiatives moving forward.”

In the last year, Terracotta has established strategic partnerships with systems integrators in a number of key markets, including China, India, Europe and the Americas. The Indian subsidiary will support this rapid growth as the company continues to expand its presence around the globe. Terracotta’s infrastructure software solves a fundamental problem in the market; scaling mission-critical Java applications while reducing the need for expensive database licences. Companies such as PartyGaming, Comcast, Adobe and JP Morgan have realised tremendous RoI by reducing database licence costs and custom development efforts.
