Technical Snag At BSE

A technical snag hit the Bombay Stock Exchange on June 4, delaying market quotes on some vendor terminals.

“There has been some problem in the network. Our technical team is examining the snag in the vendor server. Our website is working fine,” BSE spokesperson Kalyan Bose said.

However, the snag had no impact on stocks as the execution of buy-sell orders on the exchange was not affected. Brokerages said the feed to vendors, who buy the BSE feed, experienced delays in the updation time.

“Certain vendors were facing delays in the updation. It seems there were some issues with vendor terminals,” said a market player.

At 1.40 pm, the BSE Sensex was quoting higher by 79.41 at 17,101.74, with scrips of SBI, HUL and ITC leading the gains.
