Sophos Appoints Kuldeep Raina As Country Manager - India

IT security and data protection company Sophos has named Kuldeep Raina as country manager for India. He will be based in New Delhi and report to Sophos vice president for Asia Pacific, Stuart Fisher.

Raina will be responsible for driving Sophos’s overall business performance in India, one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia Pacific. Leveraging 16 years of industry experience, he will spearhead all operations spanning sales and marketing, as well as deliver on strategic plan to grow revenue and market share.

Raina was most recently with Symantec. He has also held sales roles with McAfee, Stonesoft Corporation and IronPort (Cisco Systems).

I believe Raina’s extensive business development experience will enable us to penetrate the market further and wider, especially in high-growth sectors such as education, financial services, government and Telco” said Stuart Fisher, Vice President for Asia Pacific at Sophos.

According to Gartner, Indian enterprise IT spending across all industry markets is forecasted to surpass US$39 billion in 2012, a 10.3 per cent increase from 2011 spending of US$36 billion. The growth of IT in India is expected to continue, with an annual increase to exceed this level through to 2015.
