Secure Computing Introduces CommandCentre

Secure Computing has unveiled CommandCentre, a new central management product for Secure Computing Sidewinder and SnapGear network gateway security appliances.

Secure Computing CommandCentre claims to simplify network security management by enabling the creation and enforcement of security policies and policy changes across the entire networking infrastructure. It consists of several fully-integrated capabilities for managing the network from edge to core, including configuration, administration, reporting and upgrade management.

Organisations gain a better understanding of their policies from both a regulatory and overall network security perspective, with the bundled SecurityReporter, which completes the firewall investment by turning audit and log data “noise” into actionable information. It automatically aggregates and correlates data and then alerts administrators to real-time security threats for immediate action.
