The SAP Academic Conference India 2010 will be held on July 16-17 at the International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi. Leading Educators from SAP University Alliances Program member institutions from across India will gather to share ideas and insights on the latest academic principles and techniques on how to implement teaching of SAP in their school curriculum.
To reinforce SAP’s continuous support of training talent in India, hands-on workshops have been planned to introduce SAP offerings, curriculum content and best practices for classroom integration. The series of workshops at this conference involve Introduction to ERP using Global Bike Inc (GBI); TERP 10 Certification course leading to the SAP Certified Business Associate with SAP ERP 6.0 certification; Business Intelligence and ERP Simulation Game.
The programme of the Conference will also provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with the University Competence Centre (UCC) at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) to learn how to teach SAP in their curriculum.
“With the continuous evolution of India’s business software services industry, there is an ongoing need for skilled IT talent. Through SAP University Alliances, we aim to empower tomorrow’s workforce through education by combining business process knowledge with software expertise to deliver one of the most valuable skills portfolios in the market,” said Dr. Robert LoBue, Vice President, Global University Alliances, SAP. “We hope this initiative will promote the development of India’s software education system and contribute to the growth of the local outsourcing industry,” LoBue, added.

This event is designed to help bridge the demand and supply requirements,” said Prof Ramesh Behl, IMI. “This conference by SAP will help students improve their skills and expand their horizons before they enter the professional world and also offer follow-up training to enable them to sustain their personal development in the corporate world.”
