Riverbed Enhances Cloud Steelhead Capabilities
WAN optimisation solution for public cloud environments adds compatibility for ESX-based public cloud environments.
Riverbed Technology, the IT performance company, has announced that the company has enhanced the capabilities of its Cloud Steelhead wide area network (WAN) optimisation solution, adding compatibility with ESX-based public cloud services. Additionally, Riverbed has extended the breadth of partnerships with cloud service providers for Cloud Steelhead, giving customers greater freedom of choice when choosing to migrate data and services to the public cloud.
With the expansion of its cloud service provider ecosystem, Riverbed offers greater flexibility in choosing cloud service providers. Cloud Steelhead now offers validated technical compatibility with a number of cloud service providers, including Terremark, ZettaServe and Xtium, as well as solution technology partners CloudSwitch and Media Platform. These companies join Amazon EC2 and VPC as part of the wide ecosystem of cloud services supported by Cloud Steelhead. Cloud Steelhead enables service providers to ensure enterprise-class performance for customers, enabling them to build differentiated service offerings for organisations looking to leverage the benefits of the cloud.
