Fortinet, a provider of multi-threat security solutions has announced that NTT Communications’ (NTT Com) IT Management Services (ITMS) has selected Fortinet’s network security systems and subscription services to stimulate its new managed security service targeted at businesses in Japan. NTT Com is launching a new unified threat management (UTM) managed security service, to address the increasing demand for managed security services due to increased security threats. The UTM service will involve Fortinet’s FortiGate-50B multi-threat security systems deployed at customer sites; FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiGate carrier-class systems deployed at NTT Com’s Security Operations Centre; remote monitoring and maintenance from NTT Com; and updates, incident response and expertise from Fortinet’s FortiGuard Centre and global threat response team.

NTT Com is launching a new unified threat management (UTM) managed security service, to address the increasing demand for managed security services due to increased security threats.

The UTM service will involve Fortinet’s FortiGate-50B multi-threat security systems deployed at customer sites; FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiGate carrier-class systems deployed at NTT Com’s Security Operations Centre; remote monitoring and maintenance from NTT Com; and updates, incident response and expertise from Fortinet’s FortiGuard Centre and global threat response team.

FortiGate-50B systems deliver network and content protection through the integration of eight essential security applications and services - including antivirus, firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), antispam, antispyware, Web filtering and traffic shaping.
