Managed IT services provider Netmagic Solutions has announced the launch of its PetaVault Services, an automated electronic data vaulting service. With this announcement, Netmagic has become the first managed IT services company in India to launch a service of this nature.

Netmagic’s PetaVault is a completely automated electronic data vaulting service that compresses, de-duplicates, encrypts, and backs-up mission-critical data into a high-availability storage environment and makes it immediately recoverable when needed.
The PetaVault infrastructure hosted in Netmagic’s data centres is compliant with SEC, NYSE, HIPAA, NASD, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GLBA standards. It supports varied platforms like Windows, Novell Netware, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, IBM, AIX IBM System i and VMWare. It offers centralised web-based management and allows back-ups to be configured remotely. Further, the service mirrors back-up data to another vault assuring disaster recovery.
