Nagaraj G N, formerly the Director and Chief Information Officer at Religare, has turned over a new leaf in his career and has accepted the role of Group CIO at InterGlobe Enterprises (InterGlobe). A veteran CIO with over 18 years of experience, Nagaraj G N has had stints with HDFC, ICICI Bank, Reliance Money and Religare Group. This role at InterGlobe marks his foray back to the helm of the enterprise after a year of offering services as an Independent Technology Consultant.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Nagaraj has just taken over the reins at InterGlobe this month. Headquartered in Gurgaon, InterGlobe has a network of 112 office across 55 cities globally and its businesses include IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation), InterGlobe Technologies among others in the Retail and Hospitality space. As Group CIO, he will be overseeing the IT initiatives across various verticals.
Flagging off his career with a campus placement with HDFC Ltd, Nagaraj was associated with its IT department for seven years, honing his skills in various domains. He then moved on to ICICI Bank heading the IT department of various sub-divisions.
Nagaraj was also associated with Novell for a brief, but fruitful, period and then made a move back to the BFSI industry driving a successful IT strategy at Reliance Capital. He then progressed to become the Senior VP and CTO at Reliance Money, a group company of Reliance Capital. Advancing steadily, he served as Director and CIO at Religare Group. There he was able to create a technology roadmap for the foray of Religare Group into multiple lines of businesses in the financial services space and drive operational excellence through IT in the interest of the business.
With a view to sharing his insights gained over almost two decades in the industry, Nagaraj took on the role of an Independent Technology Consultant, offering advice on technology and business process management, transforming the technology landscape to align it with business transformation. With his sound knowledge base, he helped organisations create new opportunities through technology solutions on infrastructure, business processes, services and sales initiatives.
In his journey so far, Nagaraj has been lauded for various projects and has been recognised by the Indian government’s Ministry Of Information for Open Source initiatives in citizen facing technology deployment for Reliance Money’s deployment of Internet Trading Kiosks.
