McAfee Appoints Michael Sentonas As VP&CTO, APAC

McAfee has announced the promotion of Michael Sentonas to the position of vice president and chief technology officer, Asia Pacific for McAfee. In his new role, based in Sydney, Sentonas joins leaders from the Americas and EMEA within the McAfee Office of the CTO.

“Michael is an experienced technologist and has the expertise to guide McAfee, our partners and our customers as we continue to innovate in our battle to fight cybercrime and overcome cybersecurity challenges,” said George Kurtz, CTO, McAfee Worldwide. “Michael’s knowledge of the IT security market is extensive and with his leadership we will strengthen our position as the world’s largest dedicated security company.”

Sentonas joined McAfee in 1999 and has over fifteen years experience in the IT industry, focusing on Internet security. His past roles include sales engineering and services, software development, security consulting and management.

“This is an incredible opportunity for McAfee and our customers and partners in the Asia Pacific region,” said Sentonas. “Through my role as Asia Pacific CTO our customers and partners will be able to collaborate directly with the Office of the CTO and stay ahead in the war against cybercrime.”
