Kerala Tourism Climbs Online Reservation Bandwagon

The official website of Kerala Tourism has introduced online reservation facility for hotels and resorts within Kerala. The facility was introduced as part of Kerala Tourism’s efforts to assist travellers to plan and book rooms in Kerala easily and quickly. Besides hotels and resorts, properties like ayurvedic centres, homestays and houseboats are also available online.

Nearly 900 properties in Kerala have enrolled to avail of the online facility, out of which 92 of them have already started offering reservations through this platform. With the facility in place, rooms can be booked online any time by visiting www.keralatourism.org. The website covers destinations like Alappuzha, Kumarakom, Munnar, Periyar, Wayanad, Kochi, Kozhikode etc. Rooms can be booked online by using credit cards, debit cards, net banking and other facilities like Pay Pal.

“Bringing all the hotels, homestays, farm-stays, ayurvedic resorts etc in Kerala under the purview of the online reservation system is the next goal,” says M Sivasankar, director, Kerala Tourism.

The online reservation system will be formally launched on July 8.
