Hewlett-Packard (HP) has organised the “HP Mobile Innovations Tour” to showcase concepts around the future of mobile communications in India. These conceptual creations claim to represent a vision for the 2012 timeframe, highlighting HP’s vision for a simple, elegant and easy-to-use mobile computing experience.
HP’s perspective of the future mobility concepts follows the philosophy that “out of integrated complexity will come disintegrated simplicity.”
“HP’s vision of the future of mobility is a world where simple devices inter-operate to deliver a cohesive, always connected lifestyle,” said Phil Devlin, manager, Product Marketing, Mobile Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, HP Asia-Pacific and Japan.
According to P Raghuraman, country manager, Commercial Notebooks, Personal Systems Group, HP India, “The HP Mobile Innovation Tour gives a window to experience the future of mobility. We strongly believe in providing advanced products to our customers by constantly upgrading technology through our robust Research and Development footprint.”
The showcase includes gadgets such as a personal wireless gateway device - in a wearable watch-like form factor; a personal size display mat that is ’always on’ and ready to connect to the wireless hub/watch; a thin-client device in a tablet form factor; a digital wallet that displays transactions for a wide variety of personal services; etc.
