HCL Technologies and Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) India, the storage networking industry body in the country, have joined forces to promote awareness on storage networking technologies for end-users and professionals aspiring to join the storage networking practice. This joint initiative is aimed at building a talent pool of trained storage professionals.
SNIA India and HCL Technologies will hold a series of tutorials in Chennai for the benefit of end users from May 19, 2007 to June 30, 2007. All end users of storage products and technologies would be trained on specific storage technologies by industry veterans.
HCL Technologies has a four year old association with SNIA. With the specialised training program, HCL Technologies hopes to attract fresh talent in the area of storage technologies.
According to G H Rao, corporate vice president, HCL Technologies, “This is a novel and a significant initiative because it addresses the gap that exists in training needs in this highly specialised domain.”
“These tutorials will help the attendees attain SNIA SNCP (Storage Networking Certification Program). Besides, these tutorials will also make them more employable as they"ll get to learn contemporary practices in the industry,” remarked Sharad Srivastava, chairman, SNIA India.
