VMware has announced a strategic relationship with HCL Infosystems. The partnership will deliver on-demand cloud services to Indian customers with the recently launched HCL O’zone on the industry-leading VMware’s vSphere 4 platform.
HCL Infosystems will collaborate with VMware under the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP), designed to provide on-demand cloud services. The company will be using VMware software licenses on a monthly ‘pay as you go’ basis. HCL Infosystems had recently announced an end to end cloud based computing solution service called HCL O’zone, which in collaboration with VMware will deliver benefits to both enterprise and mid size organisations in India through benefits like reduced investments, increased data security, increased operational and performance efficiency, green computing, increased power savings and disaster recovery.

This partnership will help HCL address the increasing demand for on-demand computing in India, which is one of the fastest growing cloud computing markets in the Asia Pacific region.
