Gillai Takes Charge Of 3COM Worldwide Products, Solutions

3Com Corporation has announced that Saar Gillai has joined the company as its new Senior Vice President of Worldwide Products and Solutions. Gillai brings more than 20 years of networking experience to 3Com, including management positions with companies such as Cisco Systems, Newbridge Networks and Tropos Networks. Gillai will report to 3Com president and chief operating officer Ron Sege.

“The addition of Saar Gillai to our management team will accelerate our strategy of bringing our customers more value for their networking investment,” said Sege. “Saar brings to 3Com a unique blend of experience with industry-leading networking companies as well as the entrepreneurial spirit of someone who has worked in start-up environments. He has a great track record of success, and I look forward to working with him to build a customer-centric products and solutions organisation.”

As head of worldwide products and solutions, Gillai will be responsible for defining the company’s long-term vision for product lines and solutions, including roadmap, pricing and positioning, and requirements. He will work closely with the company’s research and development (R&D) and sales teams to develop innovative ways to help customers stretch their networking budgets and ‘do more with less.’
