French Tech Ticket Season 2 kicked off by French Government

France today kicked off the Season 2 of French Tech Ticket, a global competition open to entrepreneurs with start-ups after formation or in the process of growing. French Tech is the French start-up ecosystem led by French Government to embrace and promote the emergence of successful start-ups accompanied by Business France. This has helped create an exciting and vibrant international start-up community in France and it is reflected in thew fact that France now is one of the leading host countries for the world's most innovative companies.

The program was started in November 2013 by the French government to provide optimal conditions for the start-ups to grow and nourish. This ecosystem is made of entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, developers and a strong network of incubators.

The program provides €45,000 funding for each team including fast-track procedure to obtain a French resident permit while the team is hosted in one of the 41 incubators around France for a year. In addition to hosting, resident permit and funding, a tailored program of Master classes, networking events and mentoring sessions is included and a soft landing pack to relocate easily to France.

The success in France comes because of a huge pool of skilled and affordable talent, education with a strong culture of engineers, ambition and a comprehensive financing system with investment and infrastructure as mentioned by John Chambers, CEO of Cisco, said, “The French government truly understands the economic and societal benefits digitization will bring.”

While talking about the program and what it brings to the table for Indian start-ups and entrepreneurs, Muriel Penicaud, CEO of Business France, French Ambassador for International Investment, "Start-ups will play a key role in driving the next phase of global growth. India is the perfect example where start-ups have changed the country’s business ecosystem thanks to robust initiatives such as Start-up India and Skill India. Indian start-ups and entrepreneur talent are now fully recognized on the international scene. The French Tech Ticket is a prime opportunity for them to expand their business and access the European market while being immersed in a booming start-up ecosystem. France is open to welcoming international talents and helping them to achieve their potential."
