F5 Networks Joins HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem

In a move to give customers the flexibility to choose a secure multi-vendor IT environment instead of costly proprietary models, F5 Networks has become a member of the HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem (HP ProCurve ONE) programme. F5, a player in the Application Delivery Networking space, will provide its BIG-IP Application Delivery Controller (ADC) products to extend the flexibility, scalability, and security within the HP ProCurve ONE infrastructure.

“HP ProCurve ONE offers customers a choice of networking alternatives through collaboration with technology leaders, freeing businesses from proprietary, single-vendor environments when building or transforming their IT infrastructure,” said Dan Matte, SVP of Marketing and Business Development at F5 Networks. “F5 aligns well with HP’s data centre transformation initiatives, which directly support enterprise customers’ key IT and business goals of lowering costs and accelerating business growth through IT agility and operational efficiency.”

As a strategic alliance partner, F5 is collaborating with HP ProCurve to help customers bolster security, reduce complexity of network management, and enhance network and data centre performance. F5’s Application Delivery Networking (ADN) solutions will be incorporated into technical and sales training for HP ProCurve’s sales force and channel partners, and F5 will also be invited to participate in regional channel partner events.
