In keeping with its forthcoming roll-out of telecom services in India, Etisalat DB Telecom and its subsidiary, today, signed a LoI (Letter of Intent) with Tech Mahindra to manage the IT applications and infrastructure requirements for its proposed roll-out across 15 circles. Valued at over Rs 2,000 crore, this association is intended to be spread over a period 10 years.
Under the terms of the LoI (Letter of Intent), Etisalat DB and its subsidiary would outsource implementation of the end-to-end IT applications and infrastructure, including system integration and managed services, to Tech Mahindra. The prime IT applications stack for Etisalat DB involves components in the BSS (Business Support System) and OSS (Operating Support System) domain.
Drawing from Tech Mahindra’s experience of setting up Greenfield IT operations across the world, Etisalat DB has entered into this market-realistic association that will ensure faster go-to-market and a cost-effective roll-out of services.
Confirming the association, the official spokesperson of Etisalat DB, said, “Tech Mahindra has the required domain and process expertise with a proven track record as part of Etisalat’s launch of operations in Egypt. We are confident that Tech Mahindra’s exhaustive pool of IT skills and innovative delivery models will assist us in the forthcoming roll-out of services in India.”
