A provider of material handling solutions to industries in India and overseas, ElectroMech has announced the completion of SAP implementation to support its strategy to leverage multi-channel sales, improve customer service, pricing consistency and enable more time to focus on business decisions.
ElectroMech will leverage the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to optimise inventory across its business, providing better customer service and decreasing out-of-stocks. SAP will help ElectroMech support sales through its six sales offices and website with greater efficiency, improved data accuracy and reduced manual processes.
KPIT Cummins Infosystems, Pune, served as SAP’s prime implementation partner on the project, providing their consulting expertise and their IMCDash, a template-based SAP implementation approach that reduces costs and implementation time.
ElectroMech replaced a homegrown business system based on Tally and other small packages and built upon the SAP on WINDOWS platform as the strategic foundation to standardise its business processes, improve its agility and speed to market and provide greater visibility into its inventory.
“SAP will improve ElectroMech’s customer experience by increasing speed of transactions, enabling flexible options for customers and supporting multiple selling options,” said Tushar Mehendale, managing director, ElectroMech. “Having one accurate, integrated view of data will help us meet our business goals, drive efficiencies, reduce redundancies and data inaccuracies and allow dealers to focus on growing the business. We feel that our customers will benefit the most as we will be able to provide them with the products they want faster and at a better price as we improve our speed of manufacturing and have a better view of what each customer wants.”
SAP provides an integrated business management solution that will standardise ElectroMech’s manufacturing business and enable it to meet future growth challenges including new plant launches and higher volume of sales.
