ACS has already grabbed the market attention. 800 students of class 8th, 9th, and 10th in Meridian and DPS School will use ‘Augmented Classroom Solution, this academic year. Well established coaching institutes in India, Aakash with centres across North India and PAGE Institute in Hyderabad that prepare students for exams like IITJEE and PMT will also introduce Edutor ACS. Edutor is in advance talks with many other schools and institutes to introduce Augmented Classroom Solution and hopes to expand its penetration across the country.
Making the announcement CEO of Edutor Technologies Ram Gollamudi said “It is a completely thought out approach. Our ‘Augmented Classroom Solution’ is an answer to the question facing everybody today on how tablet PCs can be made purposeful in an education ecosystem. With our solution inside, the Tablet PCs ‘augment’ the learning experience of the students in a whole new way.”
“Our research effort over the last three years has been around leveraging the power of touch-screen devices in Education with new innovative solutions,” Gollamudi said. “We believe integration of learning materials on intuitive touch devices will strengthen teacher as well as student effort to enhance homework & study assessment process. The solution has the potential to lighten the schoolbag and empower education.”
The key feature of Edutor Augmented Classroom Solution is its ability to integrate learning material exactly as per school syllabus inside the touch screen devices. This includes digitised textbooks, multi-media material, interactive concept-maps and assessment. Edutor also has an intelligent Study Engine which allows students to see, hear along with simple touch function that increases engagement levels and also intelligently navigates the student through the whole learning experience.
Another key feature of ‘Augmented Classroom Solution’ is the bond it establishes between students & teachers through a Cloud Solution – taking the experience beyond the four walls. This allows teachers to monitor the learning of each student and can personalise the experience through the tablets – by securely publishing homework, notes or any other content.
With ACS formative assessments in school can also be easily administered to ensure better diagnosis of learning gaps among students. Test preparation institutes can use the powerful Assessment Engine to drive rigor among students as it enable detailed analysis & reports to bolster student preparation and help teachers identify areas of improvement.
The Edutor ‘Augmented Classroom Solution’ runs on Android OS and can be loaded on most Android Tablets. Institutes can get the ‘Augmented Classroom Solution’ on any hardware (Android Tablet PC) of their choice and Edutor will work to offer an Integrated Solution. Edutor also offers a range of good quality affordable tablets under the ‘Edutor Advantage StudenTab’ brand name to its customers.
