Cisco has appointed Dinesh Malkani as its new India head, according to reports. Malkani replaced the company’s President and Country Manager for India & SAARC region Jeff White, who decided to step down and move to Cisco US for personal reasons.
White moved to India in 2013 replacing Naresh Wadhwa, who had spent almost fifteen years in Cisco.

Malkani, prior to taking up the new role, was vice president, sales, Cisco India & SAARC. He was responsible for Cisco’s enterprise, public sector and service provider business across the India & SAARC regions. In his new role, Malkani will lead sales in India & SAARC.
Malkani joined Cisco in August 2010 and has led the APJC collaboration team to become a market leader in every major category of this business in APJC. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT and communications industry in APJC, having lived and worked in India, China, Korea and Singapore. Over this period he has held diverse roles such as R&D engineer, SE manager, sales director, general manager, and has gained financial skills in running substantial P&L for large operations.
He has recently moved back from Singapore and is based in Bangalore.
