Dell Unveils Enterprise Vision For 2009

Dell India, as part of its Enterprise Vision Day, has unveiled its vision for enterprise technology for 2009. The company showcased its entire range of offerings for small, medium and large business enterprises. It also announced its newly inaugurated Enterprise Solutions centre at its Bangalore office as part of its Enterprise Vision for 2009. The solutions centre will serve as a platform for Dell to display and demo for all customers, who wish to understand how Dell can help simplify their business processes.

“We are geared to partner with our Indian customers to simplify their IT usage and maximise their RoI with efficient deployment and management of existing IT systems. In the current scenario, Indian companies are looking at maximising existing resources and increasing their efficiency at minimum costs,” said Pallab Talukdar, director – Enterprise Business, Dell India.

Dell highlighted some key components of its enterprise strategy that are focused on:

Simpler assessment and deployment

Dell enables customers to evaluate, design and deploy new solutions or upgrade existing systems using Dell’s build-to-order manufacturing, which also includes software and embedded hypervisors in selected systems.

Lower Total cost of ownership

Dell uses accepted industry standards as the core design philosophy for all enterprise systems that ensures system costs are kept low, while allowing IT managers to have the flexibility needed to adapt architectures to meet future needs.

Smarter path to Virtualisation

Dell offers a proof-of-concept to determine server virtualisation impact in the mirrored customer production environment to help reduce risk prior to full implementation.

The Dell range of blade servers are performance oriented and energy efficient. They require less cooling and offer centralised management, single interface for inventory and monitoring for all components.

Using the latest storage technology (such as iSCSI, SAS and SATA) coupled with an efficient manufacturing process; Dell offers a dependable, low-cost storage solution.
