Global governance, risk and compliance vendor Cura Software Solutions, a subsidiary of SoftPro Systems Limited has announced an OEM agreement with SAP AG, through which users of Cura’s next-generation solutions will benefit from integration with best-of-breed, on-demand reports from SAP. Cura plans to integrate SAP BusinessObjects Edge Business Intelligence (BI), Crystal Reports and Xcelsius software with the forthcoming release of Cura Audit and Cura v3 Dashboards governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions starting April 2010.
“This agreement is a vital step for Cura, since it allows us to focus more deeply on the logic and intellectual property that lies within our suite of GRC solutions, while knowing that the reporting and dashboarding end of the equation is being handled by one of the most trusted names in the market,” said Avi Eyal, CEO, Cura Software. “As an SAP BusinessObjects OEM partner, we will also have access to functionality we weren’t able to offer our customers before. We’re looking forward to offering our customers reporting and dashboarding functionality that not only looks more visually appealing, but also is compiled within much shorter timeframes and is more customisable and granular in nature. We believe the integration of SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI, Crystal Reports and Xcelsius software with our suite will bring us numerous benefits in the long-term evolution of our solution functionality and customer acceptance.”
Prior to entering into the agreement with SAP BusinessObjects, Cura had a proprietary reporting engine, which required substantial development and upkeep to stay abreast of technology and product changes. Cura’s customers required.
“SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI software delivers comprehensive, flexible and affordable solutions for customers and provides the intelligence to help keep companies ahead of ever-shifting business conditions,” said Wyatt Mullin, VP, Global ISV Channel, SAP BusinessObjects Division. “The software, integrated with offerings from Cura, will help deliver to customers an easy-to-use, proven, affordable solution that promotes cost efficiencies and delivers measurable impact on business performance. Our partnership with Cura will empower Cura’s customers with the right combination of solutions and expertise to make data intuitively accessible.”
Cura’s new agreement with SAP is also a vital step in the interoperability stakes, since the data extracted from Cura’s suite of solutions will immediately become usable and complementary to other systems and business intelligence tools.
