Cranes Software has announced the launch of NISA Version 15.0 for Linux - the latest Linux version of its FEA package ‘NISA’. The new release claims to mark a significant improvement over the existing version.
Some of the new features of NISA Version 15 for Linux include
-- Multiple support excitation capability incorporated in NISA/DA module to handle non-uniform support excitation in the form of response spectra.
-- Seventeen new crack configurations in ENDURE for propagation studies.
-- 3D-Magnetodynamic analysis without massive conductors for harmonic current sources supported in NISA/EMAG using the magnetic vector potential approach.
-- IGES Version 5.3 now supported.
-- Sparse and Iterative Solvers upgraded in NISA II.
According to Ramdass Keshavamurthy, VP, Product Development, NISA, “We are very happy to announce the release of NISA Version 15.0 for LINUX, which will allow our Linux community to avail all the benefits which are enjoyed by our Windows users. A key improvement is the availability of the software as RPM package which greatly simplifies the installation process. This release has substantial enhancements addressing the seismic analysis requirements of power industry. Noteworthy upgrades have been made to improve the speed of the solvers which would benefit our enterprise customers.”
