Compex, a provider of wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity and communications technologies, has introduced NetPassage WPE53 – a low cost IEEE802.11b/g access point.
Based on Atheros eXtended Range technology, NetPassage WPE53 supports high-speed data transmission of up to 54Mbps. Its multiple SSID feature supports up to four virtual access points (VAP) with unique BSSIDs. So traffic from each VAP can be tagged to a unique VLAN and/ or bridged if required.
Rajesh Goenka, VP-Sales and Marketing, Rashi Peripherals, said, “This is the most optimum solution for long range wireless requirements. The product is light in weight and small in size, which make its utility/ set-up all the more easy. I am sure channel partners, specially the system integrators, who work on wireless deployment, would highly recommend the NetPassage WPE53”.
NetPassage WPE53 is suitable for long-range wireless deployment with Proprietary Long Distance Algorithm for ACK and CTS timeout adjustment support. It provides recommended values for the parameters and at the same time allows for manual fine-tuning for optimal performance. Furthermore, with its ability to limit the upload/ download bandwidth at WAN/ LAN ports using either an IP address or MAC address, it enables the administrator to manage the bandwidth of subscribers in case a massive data transfer is slowing down Internet access of other users.
NetPassage WPE53G also offers features that are useful to system integrators, such as Antenna Alignment for adjusting your antenna to optimise performance, Syslog for event logging, as well as Telnet/ SSH for easy device management.
NetPassage WPE53G will be available through Rashi Peripherals and its 53 branches spread across India at Rs 2,700 with a three-year warranty.
