Cloud Security Alliance Launches Mumbai Chapter

Cloud Security Alliance, Mumbai Chapter, the world’s largest Cloud Security Alliance Chapter with over 250 members has been formally launched.

The Cloud Security Alliance, a non-profit organisation was formed to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing, and provide education on the uses of cloud computing to help secure all other forms of computing. It has over 18000 members globally.

“India represents a very important part of the future of cloud computing. We expect that many of the cloud providers will be Indian owned and many of the cloud operators will also be from India. There is a lot of cloud security research going on and I look forward to having Indians and members of the Cloud Security Alliance, Mumbai Chapter involved,” said Jim Reavis, Executive Director, Cloud Security Alliance.

“Security of the cloud is the key inhibiter of cloud adoption. The Cloud Security Alliance will play an important role in definition and adoption of cloud security good practices.
