Aruba Networks, Inc. has announced that, in the inaugural version of Gartner Inc.’s new “Magic Quadrant for the Wired and Wireless LAN Infrastructure” report, Aruba has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant.
This marks the first time that Gartner has combined wireless and wired access infrastructure in one report. The report said, “Connectivity at the edge of an enterprise network is more than just a wired or wireless LAN infrastructure. Enterprises must choose infrastructure vendors that support network services, including security and management, and can integrate wired and wireless networking products.”
In the new Magic Quadrant report, Gartner continues as it has previously, to evaluate vendors based on two criteria: completeness of vision and ability to execute. It includes a summary view of each vendor, as well as an assessment of vendor strengths and weaknesses.
“We believe Aruba’s position in the Leaders quadrant of the new Gartner report demonstrates our successful development and execution of a unified access solution and strategy,” said Ben Gibson, Chief Marketing Officer, Aruba Networks. “We’ve seen significant customer traction for our Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture, introduced just last year to deliver cost-effective, converged wired and wireless access, and our ClearPass solution, announced in February, to securely provision mobile devices on any enterprise network has already been met with a similar reception. We’re pleased that Gartner has acknowledged this vision, innovation, execution and customer success.”
