Array Wins $2 mn WAN Optimisation Order From Indian Government

Array Networks, a global technology and application delivery networking company, has won a WAN optimisation order from the government sector by closing a US$ 2million deal. This is the largest single deal for Array and will cover deployments across 400 locations across various parts of India. This win has opened up a huge opportunity for Array to demonstrate performance acceleration at both the applications level and WAN level.

Array Networks’ aCeleraTM WAN series of products comprise virtual appliances, which provide scalability, flexibility and affordability for cloud and virtualised environments, as well as hardware appliances that deliver an unbeatable combination of functionality, performance and return-on-investment. These appliances also leverage the latest in state-of-the-art multi-core processing and energy-efficient components to create an integrated purpose-built appliance for WAN optimisation. Having done multiple similar projects, Array was able to demonstrate superiority in terms of high performance and scalability. This was a huge competitive advantage, which contributed to win this order.

Array’s aCelera WAN optimisation controllers provide a compelling value proposition for the organisations. The WAN series serves the benefits in terms of performance, access, security and optimisation. The WAN optimisation series have the common platform for unified management and plug-and-play upgrades; that helps in improving the response time of the application by providing seamless access to the data.

According to Shibu Paul, Country Manager - IN, ME & ASEAN at Array Networks, “This will be one of the largest deployments of WAN optimisation in India outside of the enterprise segment. We are confident that it will open up huge opportunities for Array Networks as we clearly demonstrate performance acceleration at both the applications level and WAN level,” said Shibu Paul, Country Manager (IN, ME & ASEAN) at Array Networks. “We have more such projects coming up which are replica of this project. None of our competitors have the complete stack as Array and this gives us a significant competitive advantage.”
