Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has awarded a contract to TechCorr USA (TechCorr), an advanced inspection and engineering company, to introduce and implement an Asset Integrity Management (AIM) program for BPCL.
The AIM Project will introduce BPCL to a wide range of advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies and inspection methodologies to minimise the risks and vulnerabilities of petroleum refining operations. The AIM program and contract includes:
* RBA, RBI & AIM Training
* API 510, 570, 579, 580 and 653 training and inspections
* In-Service Above Ground Storage Tank cleaning and inspections
* In-Service Long Range Guided Wave Ultrasonic Inspection and Testing
* Acoustic Emissions Testing
* Eddy Current Tubular Inspection and Testing
* Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing
* Automated Corrosion Mapping
* Automated Time of Flight Diffraction
* Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
* Remote Field “Array” Technique
* Externally Referenced Remote Field (XRFT)
Joe Summa, chairman of TechCorr, said, “This USTDA grant and contract with BPCL will enable TechCorr to expand into the rapidly growing India market and establish our local offices (Mumbai and New Delhi) to service the region with our advanced inspection and engineering technology from the US.”
