Aladdin Knowledge Systems, an information security player specialising in authentication, software DRM and content security, and Wyse Technology, a player in thin computing, have announced a worldwide partnership. Wyse and Aladdin will provide enterprises a secure and flexible solution combining Wyse Thin Client roaming computing and Aladdin e-Token strong authentication for secure access to corporate resources from any computer.
The Aladdin-Wyse solution allows users to securely access vital corporate information and applications via the Wyse thin client virtual environment. Using Aladdin e-Token certificate-based smartcard authentication, Wyse Thin Client users are able to securely connect to corporate resources from any computer, increasing productivity while on the road and ensuring organisations’ security standards. The solution enables users to simply verify their identity with their e-Token device, and to launch their individual desktop profile at the same point at which they ended the previous session, enabling the user to resume work immediately even if they log in from a different workstation.
By combining roaming desktop capabilities with smartcard-based login, organisations are able to prevent unauthorised access to secured networks by eliminating walk-by security breaches. Aladdin e-Token allows companies to more easily comply with regulations that require two-factor authentication to protect sensitive data, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and many others.
