In a deal considered to be one of the most expensive online apartment buys in India, ecommerce major Snapdeal has sold a penthouse in Bengaluru for Rs 6 croreto a buyer named Poornima.
Designed around Spanish colonial architecture, the penthouse Mantri Espana unifies the Mediterranean style with modern design-patterned arches, tiled courtyards, red roof and terraces along with expansive windows and open space. The penthouses come with attached family terrace area with beautiful view of lake and greenery around.
Speaking about the sale, Sushil Mantri, MD of Mantri Developers said, “As a constant endeavour to push the boundaries of innovation, we tried to evaluate an alliance with Snapdeal and explore online marketing and selling options through the portal. The result speaks for itself as we have been able to achieve a sale for one of our most premium properties - Mantri Espana worth Rs 6 crore. It is the highest online residential sale in present times.”
Snapdeal has been selling houses and luxury apartments since August 2014. Snapdeal said its real estate category has grown 400 per cent in the last six months and currently comprise a portfolio of residential projects from developers across India including Tata Value Homes, Tata Housing, DLF, Sobha Developers, Godrej Properties, Mantri Developers, and Purvankara.
In June 2015, it sold a Tata Housing apartment for Rs 1.1 crore in Mumbai.
