Los Angeles: Anil Ambani attended the glittering 84th Academy Awards, where three films produced by DreamWorks Studios, his co-venture with Steven Speilberg, were nominated for 11 Oscars.
Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment owns a 51 percent stake at Speilberg’s Dream Works Studios, which produced Oscar nominated The Help, War Horse and Real Steel, making it the first time for an Indian-owned movie company to be represented at the Oscar in such a big way.

Octavia Spencer fetched the Oscar for best supporting actress for her performance in The Help in which she portrayed big-mouthed maid Minny.
The Help directed by debutant director Tate Taylor was nominated across four categories including Best Picture (Brunson Green, Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan-Producers), Actress in Leading Role (Viola Davis), Actress in Supporting Role (Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain)
The Help is all set to hit Indian theatres on 25 November.
