Jet Airways today announced a special four day offer on international flights for Premiere and Economy travel, offering discounts up to 30 percent for international travel on base fares.
These special fares are on offer for travel onboard Jet Airways’ operated international flights to destinations in the Gulf, SAARC, ASEAN, Europe, U.S. and Canada regions. This offer is also valid for travel in conjunction with Etihad flights over Abu Dhabi gateway for Middle East, Europe and North America.
According to Raj Sivakumar - Chief Commercial Officer at Jet, “Jet Airways’ guests can now avail of this very attractive global fares offer to plan their international travel in advance, given the flexibility and long term validity. We are indeed pleased to offer our guests a choice of over 140 international destinations onboard Jet Airways’ flights and that of its partner airlines. We are confident that this will prove to be extremely popular with our guests given its un-matched value and benefits.”
Last week, Jet had put one million economy class seats up for sale at a flat 25% discount, for a limited period, on its domestic network.
The airline on Friday reported a net loss of Rs 1,729 crore in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2015, down from last year's Rs 2,154 crore. The airline has not posted a profit since 2007 as tough competition and high operating costs in India's aviation industry make it difficult to turn a profit.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 116 aircraft, which include a mix of state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300 ERs/Airbus A330-200/300 aircraft, Next Generation Boeing 737s and ATR 72-500/600s, and has one of the youngest fleet in the region with an average of 6.01 years.
