Affordable flying: AirAsia India cuts domestic fares to as low as Rs 1,299

New Delhi: No-frills carrier AirAsia India has offered rock-bottom fares, starting at as low as Rs 1,299 for domestic flights, as part of the parent AirAsia’s global sale offer for a limited period. Additionally, AirAsia India passengers can fly to international destinations connected by AirAsia Group airlines to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok with all-in-fares starting from as low as Rs 4,499 and Rs 4,999, respectively, it said. AirAsia has presence across Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and India in the form of either joint ventures or subsidiaries. Passengers availing the offer, however, would be allowed to travel with only one piece of cabin baggage weighing not more than 7kg, the airline added. Booking for these promotional seats can be made from October 19 to October 25 with the travelling period from March 1 to October 29, 2016, the release said. “As the pioneer for low cost travel, AirAsia makes travelling to a dream destination more accessible and affordable for all. We hope our guests take advantage of our low fares coupled with our exemplary service to explore exciting destinations,” AirAsia India managing director and chief executive, Mittu Chandilya, said. The airline said that, for the present offer, each passenger is only allowed one piece of carry-on cabin baggage weighing no more than 7kg and which must be within the 36cm (h) x 23cm (w) x 56cm (l) dimensions.
