Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group received the prestigious Golden Peacock Lifetime Achievement Award for Ethical Leadership’ for being an outstanding Indian pioneer in the world of business and beyond. The award was presented to Godrej at Bombay Stock Exchange.
Golden Peacock Awards were established more than two decades ago (1991) by the Institute Of Directors (IOD) to acknowledge the achievements of the best. Each year, the Awards Committee selects leaders and persons of eminence for their outstanding contribution to public causes and the society at large.
The award recognised Godrej’s exemplary leadership which has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the industrial sectors in India and globally. His path-breaking and visionary contributions as a Responsible Business Leader has set an example for other inspiring leaders to follow. As an Ethical Leader, he has truly transformed the fundamental societal and business scenario in the country, a statement from the Golden Peacock awards said.

Godrej Industries said it has raised Rs 370.51 crore from the rights issue by allotting 1.72 crore shares through institutional placement.
