We would request the Government to reconsider the increased excise duty sops in the upcoming budget as it will give a boost to manufacturing and bring revival to the sector. 2. India is capable to hold up “Make in India” campaign but to achieve this vision, the foremost action is to formulate policies and grant infrastructural support favourable to Electronic components and Panel manufacturing in India. 3. We expect better guidelines and framework strengthening consumer durable industry and benefiting home-grown produce from this budget. 4. The Union Budget needs to adopt a pragmatic approach towards addressing the needs of the consumer durable sector to manage its fiscal position and take India back to a higher growth trajectory.
