Agencies[/caption] The General Budget 2014-15 is an “inclusive budget” with equal focus on all sectors, Chandolia said in a statement issued by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). The NDA government on Thursday allocated Rs 700 crore to overcome the problems of power transmission and water distribution system in Delhi and the decision will help in making Delhi a world-class city in true sense, he said. In the budget, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely doled out income tax sops by raising threshold exemption and investment limits by Rs 50,000. Commending this, Chandolia claimed the step would bring down inflation level and provide relief to the common man. Chadonlia also thanked the Finance Minister for focusing on ghat development and beautification of river fronts in various cities. A sum of Rs 100 crore has been set aside in the budget for ghat development and beautification of river front at Kedarnath, Varnasi, Haridwar, Kanpur, Allahabad, Patna and Delhi. South Delhi Mayor Khushi Ram said the first budget of the Narendra Modi government was an indicator of direction in which we wish to take the country. “It is an attempt to fulfil the desires and expectations of the citizens of India,” Ram said in a statement issued by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). “Overall also, it is a very balancing budget that would give positive results in the long-term,” Chandolia said.
