Firstbiz caught up with KS Gopalakrishnan, Managing Director & CEO of AEGON Religare Life Insurance to know what he thinks the Finance Minister needs to deliver in his first union budget.
“We need to acknowledge there is a need to give incentives for people to save for their long term needs,” he said.
Gopalakrishnan said that among the amendments he would like is a re-think on the payment of service charge on insurance products.
Among the things that Gopalakrishnan is expecting amendments on are taxation issues of insurance companies and products, service tax charged on pure term plan insurance premiums, and FDI in insurance sector.
