Lenovo India appoints Bhaskar Choudhuri as Director - Marketing
Lenovo India today announced the appointment ofBhaskar Choudhuri as head of marketing for India. Based out of Lenovo's headquarters in Bangalore,he will head the role across three key segments- consumer, relationship (enterprise) and SMB.Choudhuri's primary mandate will be to retain Lenovo's equity in the relationship segment and increase Lenovo's brand preference in the consumer and SOHO segments.
Choudhuri joins Lenovo with more than 13 years of experience in sales and marketing, primarily in theFMCG space.Prior to this, he was Associate Vice President, Marketing, at Cadbury India.
Announcing the appointment,Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, "We welcomeBhaskar on board. This development is in line with our growth strategy, as we are moving towards the PC+ era and increasing our focus on the youth segment.Bhaskar is a versatile sales and marketing professional and has played a significant role in managing one of India's leadingFMCG brands. The top gainers on BSE were IndusInd Bank, PowerGrid, Reliance, Bajaj Auto, and Maruti, while the top laggards were ITC, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Asian Paint, and Kotak Bank
The 30-share BSE index was trading 361.24 points or 0.70 percent higher at 52,210.72 in initial deals, and the broader NSE Nifty jumped 100.25 points or 0.64 percent to 15,676.45
