Ever watched the Looney Toons cartoon shows? Sure you did.
And if you did (and we’re pretty sure that you did), the name Chuck Jones might sound familiar. If not, Chuck Jones is celebrated for his works, which span out over three decades, at the Warner Bros Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons, where he bought to life characters like Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Marvin The Martian, Wile E Coyote, the Road Runner, and many more.
He won an Oscar and and picked up a further five nominations for his work during his career.
He also worked on Tom & Jerry and the Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
Thirteen years after his death at the age of 89, Jones is still remembered as one of the finest directors in the animation industry who inspired generations to come.
Now, Every Frame A Painting’s Tony Zhou has come out with a video analysing the works of the great director. Zhou breaks down his cartoons and answers questions about Jone’s use of the art form and how his work has evolved over the years.
The beautifully constructed and argued video will change the way you watch your favorite cartoons.
