Virat Kohli finally admits to his relationship with Anushka Sharma though a Valentine's Day picture
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have kept their relationship under wraps for years. This Valentine's Day marked the time when they let the cat out of the bag
It is no secret that cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma are a thing. However, there was no word of confirmation from either of them but only subtle hints from their close ones.
Valentine's Day marked the first time that they admitted to their relationship. Kohli posted a picture of them on his Instagram account with a romantic caption dedicated to Sharma. Rumours of them dating each other have been doing the rounds for over three years now.
Sharma's good friend Karan Johar, who has collaborated with her in Anurag Kashyap's 2015 period drama Bombay Velvet and Johar's 2016 directorial, the romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Muskhil, had pulled Sharma's leg by hinting at her affair with Kohli. On an episode of Koffee with Karan, Johar asked if Sharma got 'stumped' and kept referring to the operative word, 'cricketer'.
Also, designer Manish Malhotra dubbed Kohli and Sharma as his favourite couple while tweeting a picture with them after his bash. Sharma and Kohli, however, maintained a stoic silence and did not validate the rumours of them going around.
Recently, Sharma came out in the open and rubbished the rumours of Kohli producing her upcoming production, Anshai Lal's Phillauri. On Valentine's Day, it was Kohli's chance to return the favour when he finally let the cat out of the bag and announced his relationship with Kohli.
Now that Kohli has admitted to the relationship, their fans would not mind if Sharma goes ahead and reciprocates. Though she has been vocal about myriad issues that plague the Hindi film industry, she has always been guarded about her personal life. But now would be a great time to confess her love to the man who left her 'stumped', as Johar aptly put it a few months ago.
