Singer Iggy Azalea has reportedly got a threatening message from hackers collective Anonymous who have warned her to make a public apology to Azealia Banks, otherwise they will release her alleged sex tape. A mysterious Twitter handle named @TheAnonMessage has threatened to release still images from a sex tape involving the 24-year-old unless she publicly apologises to Banks and the protesters of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, reports eonline.com. “@IGGYAZALEA, you have exactly 48 hours from now to release a statement apologising to @AzealiaBanks and the protesters in NYC…” the message from the hacker reads. Another tweet reads: “You are guilty of misappropriating black culture, insulting peaceful protesters, and making light of Eric Garner’s death. @IGGYAZALEA?” “There’s an X rated tape of you, we bet you’d certainly don’t want public, are we right? @IGGYAZALEA….and this is nothing. Comply or else." [caption id=“attachment_1818289” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Iggy Azalea performs Iggy Azalea during a performance. Reuters[/caption] The account has since been suspended by Twitter. As per reports, Azalea has consistently denied ever having a sex tape. She also claimed the media frenzy surrounding the speculation “makes me sick.” A rep for the rapper declined to comment on the story. Interestingly Anonymous denied that it threatened the pop-star and added that the account was a troll account and not from the real hacker collective. However Azalea is currently facing the wrath of the Internet, after she posted comments against rap singer Azealia Banks, who had said in a radio interview that white stars like Iggy were appropriating black culture without understanding the political context and that black stars weren’t getting enough credit for music that had been created by the community. Azalea had then responded to Banks by tweeting, “Special msg for banks: There are many black artists succeeding in all genres. The reason you haven’t is because of your piss poor attitude. Your inability to be responsible for your own mistakes, bullying others, the inability to be humble or have self control. It’s YOU! You created your own unfortunate situation by being a bigot and don’t have the mental capacity to realize yet. Probably never will. Now! rant, Make it racial! make it political! Make it whatever but I guarantee it won’t make you likable & THATS why ur crying on the radio.” Check out her tweets here. With IANS inputs
