Meet 12-year-old Prince Moulay Hassan, sharply dressed in a smart suit, shirt and tie, the young heir to the throne of Morocco. In a video that has gone viral, the young royal is seen pulling his hands away as various dignitaries attempt to offer a traditional ceremonial kiss. He refuses vehemently by retracting his hand, as kisses by a row of soldiers and suits follow. In this viral video, he seems to be extremely disturbed by the act of having his hands kissed, no matter who is kissing them. But, unlike Moulay, she allows ceremonial hand-kissing. “Royal touching takes a downturn, I would imagine, when Victorians start to understand how infections are disseminated,” says Philippa Gregory, the historical novelist who majors on the Tudors. “That’s when the gloves come in.” The Independent reported
