Tom Cruise in India to promote Mission: Impossible

New Delhi: Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise, who is on a promotional spree for his upcoming action film Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, landed here today on way to Agra. The actor is accompanied by Anil Kapoor, his co-star in the film to visit the Taj Mahal. It is Cruise’s first visit to India. Cruise, 49, looking dapper in a white t-shirt and khaki pants, arrived at 6 am and checked into a hotel. “Tom has arrived. He is in Delhi. He will be in Mumbai by late evening today. There after he will attend a party at co-actor Anil Kapoor’s house,” sources told PTI. [caption id=“attachment_147384” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Cruise at Taj Mahal AP”] [/caption] Cruise along with Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and Viacom 18 will host the biggest India’s fan screening in Mumbai where the admirers of the international actor will get a chance to see the film. MI:4 marks the return of the Hollywood superstar as secret agent Ethan Hunt. Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor plays an Indian business tycoon Brij Nath in the film. “The screening will be held tomorrow afternoon at a theatre in suburban Wadala. And then there will be red carpet event where lot of Bollywood celebrities are expected,” the source said. About 1500 people will get a chance to see the film with the visiting actor two weeks before its release in India. The film releases in India on 16 December in 2D and Imax-3D.
