Thou art dead Bart: Rebel Simpson son to die in Halloween episode, temporarily

We love Homer’s bratty son Bart Simpson. He’s the champion of little brats all over the world, fighting their own little rebellions against parents, teachers and the entire society. Blurring the line between naughty and nasty, Bart has been blowing his mischievous horn for 26 seasons now. ‘Bart’ is, in fact an anagram for brat. Yes, we love him. Who doesn’t? Well, there’s Sideshow Bob, the evil genius. He hates Bart’s guts and has been looking for ways to kill him now and then. And guess what, his wish is coming true. So what if it’s just for one episode. Not to worry, it is only temporary. The story arcs of Halloween episodes do not affect the regular ones. But, Sideshow Bob will get his due. “I’m one of the people that always wanted the Coyote to eat the Roadrunner,” he said. “You can see where this is going … I hated frustrated comedy. We’ll scratch that itch in the Halloween show,” The Washington Post quoted Executive Producer Al Jean as saying. Sideshow Bob has always been at loggerheads with Bart, who once spoiled Bob’s bank robbery plan and landed him in jail. Since then, they’ve been going at it. Simpsons has been going strong for over two decades, 26 seasons to be exact. The acclaimed show, however, has been in a spot recently with voice actor Harry Shearer, the voice of Ned Flanders and Mr Burns, announcing his departure from the show. Looks like the Simpsons has taken a leaf out of South Park’s book. Kenny, a major character in South Park, keeps dying in every episode and returns in the next as if life was all vanilla and strawberries. We all might just go, “oh my god, they killed Bart. Those bastards!”
