This is it: Sonu and Jermaine Jackson to sing for MJ

Sonu Niigaam has been living between Los Angeles and Mumbai for a while now, creating music on foreign terrain. While his English language album is in the works,  he will be performing with Michael Jackson’s elder brother, Grammy Award nominee, Jermaine Jackson, at the IIFA Awards, to be held between June 23 and 25 in Toronto. The song: This is it, written and  composed by Niigaam last year as a tribute to the King of Pop. Sonu and Jermaine will be performing This is It … to commemorate Michael Jackson’s second death anniversary,” said Sonu’s secretary, Ashish Ram, on behalf of the singer who was shooting non-stop for Sony’s X Factor India all day before he jetted out of the country in the wee hours. Sonu, like musicians across the world, credits Michael Jackson for influencing his music. Sonu’s composition features in the album, The Beat of our Hearts, a tribute to Michael Jackson, an 18-song compilation of songs by international artists, being released by Universal America. With Sonu’s upcoming English language album, and the performance with Jermaine, Sonu’s voice will be heard everywhere, especially by the Grammy jury.
