The film originally set for 26 May, 2017 release, will now debut on 15 December, 2017, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Prior to The Force Awakens, that released on 25 December last year, Star Wars films were always summertime releases, with each of the original trilogy and the prequel movies hitting theatres in May.
