According to Lucasfilm, the movie, which takes forward the story of Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, and villain Kylo Ren, was supposed to begin filming this month in the UK but will now start principal photography next month. Prior to The Force Awakens, that released on 25 December last year, Star Wars films were always summertime releases, with each of the original trilogy and the prequel movies hitting theatres in May.
