Shah Rukh Khan made an unfashionable, not to mention a very predictable late entry yet again for a Ra.One promotional event at the McDonalds outlet in Bandra, Mumbai last night. How late? Well, given the superstar could not make an appearance on a packed Saturday night at the restaurant without causing a mother of a frenzy amidst the patrons and every shopper cruising Linking Road and the neighbouring areas, he could only come in after the busy outlet closed its doors to the public. But even so, he only arrived at 2.30am for photo ops with Ronald McDonald, the clown, who actually came to life from his usual perch on the bench he is affixed to inside the outlet. Happy Meals containing a Ra.One robot miniature toy – G.One played by SRK in the film, will delight kids no doubt, but those who are lucky enough to get a coupon that entitles them to meet King Khan himself is the real clincher in the deal. If that doesn’t set Happy Meal sales soaring, we don’t know what will - a clever strategy indeed. This new tie up proves SRK’s undisputed marketing and promotional all-season appeal. Ra.One releases on 26 October and stars Kareena Kapoor alongside SRK. [fpgallery id=225] Follow Firstpost on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ for breaking news and views.
