Spider-man to now speak in Malayalam in dubbed version

Kochi: The web slinging superhero film ‘The Amazing Spider Man’ is getting a Malayalam version with Sony launching a DVD in the local language. Reuters[/caption] This is part of the company’s plans to customise blockbuster Hollywood movies for regional audiences across the country, a press release said here today. Sony DADC, a Direct Licensing, Distribution & Marketing Company of Home Entertainment content in India, has customised this Hollywood blockbuster movie for the Kerala audience. “Unlike other dubbed films this movie does not carry an exact translation of English dialogues but is rather based on a fitting script that incorporates plenty of local flavors to appeal to the Malayali audience,” the release said. With a large potential for Hollywood movies in regional markets, Sony DADC plans to release several other premier titles from its repertoire that will be customised for the Kerala market. PTI
